TRRAINHer Ascent – Livelihood programme, aims at training and creating livelihood opportunities for women in retail. It focuses on providing employment to those who want to join the retail industry.
This is a carefully designed skills training programme that primarily focuses on retail skills and life skills. Through this livelihood programme, TRRAIN aims to promote a gender diverse workforce in retail.
Our Impact
Thought behind the program
In 2021-22, women's labor force participation in India slightly declined to 29.4% from the previous year's 29.8%, while men's participation increased from 80.1% to 80.7%. These numbers reflect the LFPR based on CWS. The low participation rate can be attributed to limited education, scarce job opportunities, societal norms, and patriarchal structures. TRRAINHer Ascent aims to address these challenges and provide sustainable solutions
