TRRAIN Retail Awards
There are millions of retail employees who go beyond their call of duty to provide exemplary customer service. Unfortunately, many of their stories, often, remained unheard. One such story is that of retail employee Chabiraj Jaiswar, from Hypercity, for whom customer service came above all else. When on call, Chabiraj fell on the road while trying to get on a bus, and badly injured his forehead. In spite of his injury, he went to the customer’s house, provided him with the required customer service, and only upon ensuring that the concerned issue was solved, did he go to see a doctor. It was in order to bring stories like the one of retail employee Chabiraj to light, that the TRRAIN Retail Awards was created in 2011.
The TRRAIN Retail Awards are the only retail awards in India, and perhaps in the world, that recognise, acknowledge and felicitate front end retail associates for excellence in customer service, showcasing true retail empowerment.
Our Impact
MAPIC
Established in 1996, MAPIC Awards (add a hyperlink) is a competition that rewards excellence, innovation and creativity in the retail real estate industry. Their newest category, the “Customer Service Excellence Award”, introduced in association with TRRAIN in 2017, evaluates the finest, most innovative and most enduring customer service stories of sales associates at a global level.
One such story is that of Rosario Lozano Bretone, a sales employee at MediaMarkt Saturn Retail Group, who won the ‘Customer Service Excellence Award’ 2017.
IGDS
Inspired by our TRRAIN Retail Awards, The World Department Store Forum (add a hyperlink) launched an award to acknowledge the outstanding achievements of sales associates and show support to the employees, worldwide. These awards received global participation in both its editions. The winners were established on the basis of their exceptional performances in fulfilling customer expectations, commitment beyond duty, product knowledge, teamwork and commercial results.
The finalists of their first Award ceremony held in Rome, in 2015, were selected by a panel of experts, led by our founder, Mr. B.S. Nagesh. The second edition was held in Toronto, in 2017, and had winners from the UAE, Ireland and USA.
Winners of TRRAIN Retail Awards 2024
On February 29, 2024, we celebrated the remarkable 13th edition of the TRRAIN Retail Awards. With an impressive turnout of over 250 entries representing more than 100 esteemed brands from across India, the event showcased the pinnacle of excellence in customer service. Leading luminaries such as Mr. Rafique Malik, Chairman of Metro Brands Ltd., and Ms. Farah Malik Bhanji, Managing Director of Metro Brands Ltd., graced us with their presence as Chief Guests, adding an extra layer of prestige to the occasion.
At the heart of the event lay the recognition of individuals who not only met but surpassed expectations, demonstrating unparalleled dedication and commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences. These outstanding individuals truly exemplify the spirit of service excellence, setting a benchmark for the retail and allied industries.
